Fish Curry Rice - Unique Fish Curry Recipe

Fish is known as "machhali" in Hindi and "Machha" in Nepali. The popularity of fish is widespread. Fish curry rice is a dish that is loved by everyone. It is a delicious meal. Everyone loves to eat fish for dinner as well as for lunch. Fish have lots of varieties; among them, my favorite is Rohu and Prawn. Fish can be cooked in various ways, like with garam masala, mustard seeds, and garlic paste. There are many fish dishes like fish curry, fish fry, fish pakora, and steam fish . These are all yummy dishes. But today I am going to share with you a recipe for fish curry rice. It is my favorite dish. As I told you in my previous blog, my mom cooks very tasty non-vegetarian food, and I've learned every recipe from her. I tried my best . Let's jump into the recipe👇😋

Ingredients


Fish: 1 kg
Oil: To fry fish and make curry, 8 tablespoons
Yellow mustard seed; 2 tablespoons
Garlic: 15 to 20 cloves
Turmeric powder: 1 tsp.
Red chili powder: 2.5 teaspoons
salt: 3 tsp
For Tempering: Fenugreek, Fennel, Carom, Cumin and Kalonji seeds mixed together in equal parts : 1/2 tsp.
Tomato: 2 chopped
Coriander leaves: one handful chopped
Red dry chili: 2

Procedure for fish curry rice


Step 1: Put pieces of fish in a bowl and wash properly.


Step 2: Marinate the fish with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder.

Step 3: Make a paste of mustard seed and garlic in a mixer grinder and keep aside.

Step 4: Put a saucepan on the flame of the gas and add oil to it. Keep the flame high.

Step 5: When the oil heated, carefully put pieces of fish in the oil and deep fry them. complete the fry.

Step 6: Add tempering items and dried red chili to the leftover oil. Add more oil if required.

Step 7: When the smell of tempering's comes out, add mustard and garlic paste to the oil and chopped tomato. Add 1/2 tsp turmeric, 2.5 tsp red chili powder, and salt, 2 tsp or according to taste.

Step 8 :-Deep fry it until it turn brown.

Step 9: When the oil comes out of the masala, add 3 cups of water to it. Leave it for 5 minutes.

Step 10 :- Now put fried fish in the curry and off the flame.

Step 11: Garnish the fish curry with coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice and chapatis.


Conclusion

Fish boosts our bodies. It keeps our cells in good shape. It is abundant in protein, omega 3 fatty acids, and vitamin D. It preserves against heart problem and strokes. Our nervous system depends on them. Therefore, fish must every once a while be included in our diet.


Tips

1.You can also add half an onion paste to the masala if you prefer a thicker curry

2.Adding more turmeric to the marinade Fish will cause the oil to turn black while fried. so add only 1/4 tsp.
