Ingredients


Black lentils: 1 cup

Rice: 3 cups

Soak both rice and black lentils overnight.

Potatoes: 4 big, boiled, peeled, and mashed

Oil: 2 tablespoons

Gram masala: 2 teaspoons

Onion: 1 chopped

Green chili: 1 chopped

Black mustard seeds: 1/2 teaspoon

Bay leaves: 1

Garlic and ginger paste: 1 teaspoon

To be blended:

Put soaked rice and black lentils in the mixer grinder and blend them into a smooth batter and add 1 teaspoon salt or salt to taste. You can also add  1/4 teaspoon fenugreek seed and 1/4 cup of chana dal in it.

Step 1: Heat oil in the kadai and put black mustard seeds, bay leaves, and green chili in it. When it starts sizzling, add chopped onion to it.

Step 2: Sauté onion until it turn brown in color.

Step 3: Add 1 teaspoon garlic ginger paste. Saute it until raw aromas exist.

Step 4: Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder, 1 teaspoon garam masala, and salt to taste. Sauté it for 5 minutes. The potato masala is now ready to stuff into dosas. Keep it aside.

Step 5: Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat, add 1 teaspoon oil to it, and spread it over the pan.

Step 6: Take a bowl or large spoon to spread batter onto the pan.

Step 7: Pour batter on the pan and spread it thin with the help of a bowl all over the pan's surface.

Step 8: Leave it for 3–4 minutes, then add a handful of potato masala and roll it up like a wrap, or you can fold it in half.

Step 9: Repeat the same process until the batter is finished.

Step 10: Now the masala dosa is ready to eat. Serve hot with sambar or green chutney. Enjoy👍
